Has anyone heard of this Investment Banking firm? I just came from my econ club meeting, and a member was telling about it, supposedly it’s market share has declined dramatically, just wondering if anyone ever heard of it.

doesn’t look too great

Its regional with about 12 offices in the Midwest. It is investment banking so it might be a great way for a person from a regular state school to get their feet wet, and get into a decent MBA program. They have an internship they only require a 2.5 to apply so that rather fishy, but I’m sure to be competitive you need a 3.5 or so. They did have an all-star analyst as well.

Think INDY think auto industry…think about Rust Belt.

What do you mean?

I could live in the Midwest for a little while, maybe until I’m 30 or so, but I don’t know about the auto industry, but I guess adding 1,000 new jobs is fine, but Lafayette is also home to Purdue, so there engineering students are probably getting their fair share of job offers. But like the article said they are also cutting jobs. Pfizer would be nice, but that is also going to be supercompetitive.

On doing more research, I found out it’s a subsidary of PNC Financial. They hire a lot of students from my school, while it may not be a big name, it could be a feasible option, it’ll allow me to get my feet wet, and has a formal internship program, it’s not Goldman, but it may have to do.
