<p>I had a health insurance question regarding our son who is a college junior, googled HIPPA and came across this amusing article. I particularly liked the final 2 paragraphs.</p>

<p>Lol…I asked about HIPPA and FERPA at my son’s orientation and was given conflicting information …told by one university official “I’ve never actually seen the form”. Well, hmm…you might want to look at it sometime.<br>
Anyway, the question had to do with whether the kid has to sign something allowing access or only signs something if they want to prevent access. Never did get a straight answer so I threatened my son with his life and my bank account if he did not fill out whatever form it is in such a way that I had access.</p>
