<p>Is there anyone here that is in the HIPS major? It is the major I applied for and I was just wondering if anyone could give me an insiders view.</p>

<p>I have friends who are HIPS majors. Most people who take the HIPS Civ sequence (non-HIPS majors can do this for their core), tend to enjoy it. All the other non-elective classes are pretty much what you make of them. Most are geared towards writing your BA which depends heavily on what topic you pick to write on/who you have as an adviser. You get a lot of freedom with choosing the rest of the classes which is a plus.</p>
