According to the email sent by HSF: “Attending a Scholar Celebration is completely voluntary and not mandatory in order to maintain your status as an HSF Scholar. Celebrations will be hosted in the six cities listed below. Please note: All Scholars and guests are responsible for their own lodging and transportation expenses. HSF will not secure or reimburse hotel accommodations, transportation costs, or mileage expenses.”

When I got wait listed for last years scholarship, I didn’t receive a notification that I got an award until the 20th of December.
I just received an email today notifying me that I was selected from the waitlist! Best of luck to everyone else.
Does anyone know how to apply for the scholar conference? Also how do we get access to career coaching, internship opportunities, and etc. from HSF?
Does anyone know if they award waitlisted students all at the same time?
Has anyone received an email for disbursement or received their scholarship money already? I was selected in June and have sent in all the required documents as soon as we were emailed to do so. It’s February and I had anticipated receiving the money before my next tuition payment date which is the 15th of March, so I hope I receive it by then…
I was just wondering if the method of disbursement you guys had was a check? I’ve heard people have gotten it deposited into their accounts, but the only option I had was check by mail. Did you guys get that option as well? / Have you gotten disbursement yet?
I have also not received the scholarship money yet. In the email I received from HSF it said that all checks would be disbursed by March 21, 2020.
I received the same message, so it must just be a waiting game at this point. It seems extremely delayed as I’ve already moved onto Phase II for the 2020-2021 scholarship… Hopefully, there is some advancement in the next few days for recipients of last year’s scholarship.
My assumptions were correct lol… I received no email from HSF about my scholarship check being mailed but, I did finally receive my scholarship check in the mail today! Hopefully, everyone has either received their check or is receiving it soon!
How are your stats? This is my 2nd time applying and I didn’t get selected finalist. I’m an undergrad sophomore with 4.0 GPA, early entrance to college and listed 10 activities (founder of 3). The only problem is that I don’t come from a prestigious college
I am from a poor side of Puerto Rico. They select about 40-50 students each year as HSF scholars, but they haven’t selected me even with 4.00 gpa, 99% percentiles in a lot of standardized tests and a lot of extracurricular activities
