I was having this discussion with a friend recently. It’s my impression that Latin &/or Greek were admission requirements for Harvard and perhaps other schools up until the 1930s. I’m not sure if this is correct. Does anyone know in what year Latin &/or Greek were last required for admission?

Bump - I’m curious, too…

(Harvard - and probably some others - definitely required Latin and Greek at some point, but I’ve wondered when that was dropped…)

Any info on when Princeton eliminated its Latin/Greek admission requirements?
