i was thinking about taking this class to fulfill the american cultures requirement. the class is history 136AC: Gender Matters in 20th Century America. has anyone taken this class before? what’s it like? how’s the teacher? is it hard?

This class is really interesting… I really liked it. Professor Rosen is really really knowledge, has tons of great stories, and I love her voice. She talks about issues and relates things as they’re really important in modern day, which is great for a history class. Learned loads.
I think it’s easy to get at least a B, but difficult to get an A if you’re not a history major or really good at writing essay midterms. However, it probably all depends on the GSI, last year I had Julie Stein. She was nice and approachable and not too picky on grading. Grades are pretty much 1 hour and a half essay midterm, one final paper, one 3 hr essay final, and a few random 1 page essay assignments here and there.
However, if you’re just interested in learning subject matter and not necessarily looking to get an A out of it, I would definitely highly recommend this class.
