HKU or HKUST

@shaikh123 - from what I’ve heard UST has always had a better business school. no one really talks about HKU’s business faculty because HKU is famous for medicine and law, which UST dont have. But this doesn’t mean HKU isnt great at teaching business. Sorry I know I havnet come to a conclusion but the UST one should be slightly better!

anyone going to UST (Global Business) or HKU (IBGM) this fall?

@minkey: Yes, I am going to HKUST for Global Business. What about you?

TheGrand, my math score exceeds my reading and writing scores.

Has anyone else applied to the Art and Education related programs? Do they give notifications early or late?

How hard it is to get accepted into CUHK engineering? I applied EA and most likely denied and I will be advanced into the regular round. ■■■

International, nonjupas, applied b4 Xmas, just got an e-mail about interview next week.
Engineering. UHK.

Still nothing from UST.

Hey guys I just received an interview invitation for molecular biomedical science at HKUST.

Any Chemical Engg. applicants to HKUST got a decision ? Applied in November and am still waiting. Getting stressed out now !
Plz. reply ; Thanks… :)

^ i’ve applied for chemical engineering… got my interview tomorrow!

@minkey- accepted to IBGM and paid the deposit, but my parents are having second thoughts.

I just got my offer for Engineering in HKU ^^.

I need an average of 7 on my VWO (Dutch education). So you guys think they mean a 7 (7,4 to 6,5) or a 7,0?

Happy, happy!! xD

@casper1991- congratz… have you accepted the offer yet?
and applied for hall?

Not yet… I just got my offer this afternoon xD. I’ll accept the offer in the weekend… I’m just praying I will get a 7,0 average… It’s kinda high xD… Hope to see you next year!! Where are you from?

Hey Casper,

good luck with that. Just a side note - I think meeting my conditions (German Abitur system) were not that hard to meet. Haha, I’m saying that now, but the tests are in May, so it’ll be interesting to see how that will work out ^^

Kind regards,
fish

@choongy
That’s what the internet says. If you are really really worried, u can call and see if they’ll entertain ur request.

@verystressed
Why’s that so? I mean I’ve heard plenty of good things about the IBGM programme.

@Casper1991
You should apply for halls as soon as possible if you want to get into the more international ones. They have a limit in each hall for the number of non-locals that they accept. I think they meant that the average of all your subjects should be 7.0

@ minkey:
Thank you for the reply man. I applied to HKUST and got in there, but haven’t heard anything from HKU yet, and the deposit has to be paid with in 2 weeks. So yeah was just wondering if paying the deposit is actually worth it.

@rainbowrainbow- Maybe it’s cause I’ve been in Asia for too long and really need to return to North America.

Hi. I gt notified of my interview a few wks ago. It was initially an interview at hkust. However, I called them n told them that I may nt be in hk during that time. Thus, it was changed to a phone interview.

May I know hw this will affect ny chance of getting in?

Is this a gd sign n does anyone who has exp rate my chance of getting into hkust? Btw, it was an interview for my first 2 choices, chem & environmental eng, and chem eng.

Thx. :-D

Anyone has any advice for my interview n what e interviewers frm e chem n biomolecular eng faculty r looking out for? :-)

Hey all, I just got a notification from HKU today! I got in for Econs and Finance. I also hold an offer from HKUST for the same course.

Which should I choose? I heard that HKUST is better for the aforementioned course but HKU has more prestige…

Dilemma…
