Have you guys been interviewed by Hkust already?

Nope, only thing i got from them between dec 19th and now is an email saying i’m waitlisted…

Have been placed on the waiting list for engineering at HKUST. Can anyone tell me what are my chances of getting in?

I have been waitlisted for HKUST as well =u=;; Wonder when CUHK decisions will come out.

Im also being waitlisted for HKUST.

Im gonna try to focus on something else for a while (most likely my drivers license LOL) and let the universities decide.
I mean, there is really nothing I can do at this point…=)

@vhrora: 37 in IB and 2340 in SAT1 and two 800s and a 770 in SAT2. ahhhhhhhh i hate HKUST.

i guess not being qsked for the interview was a bad omen though i hate to admit it.

@MangoAddict
■■■ ur SAT score is like freaking high… both SAT1 and SAT2…(whats wrong wif ust)…
did u get an interview from UST???
pls tell me. lol
Im so glad that Im not interested in business courses. I cant believe they waitlisted u…

This feels terrible

@kevo

thanks man, happy that someone appreciates my effort, though the scores could have been pretty much expected from their side as i am oh-so-score-inflated korean. nontheless, my IB sucked, and I didn’t get in OR got a chance to be asked for the interview. ■■■.

for those of you who are not interested in Global Business but got in, PLEASSEEEEEEE be generous and notify the school of your choice. That’s going to save a lot of us here :(

lol im korean too. 하이~~
i think the course that u applied to GBUS(?) is very competitive especially for international students. I only know 1 person from this forum who got it to business, but no one has accepted to GBUS yet…
I thought u got an interview and then got waitlisted…
I really think you should have given a chance for interview…
Does that mean there are ppl who have better grades than your ‘super’ SAT scores…??
thats crazy… with those SAT scores, i think you can even get into the top unis in US…
Im not very sure about IB, coz i did A-level, but I do know that ur SAT is freaking high.
have you applied to any other schools?

Maybe those people who go into Ivies will reject GBUS/ HK schools, cause the offers just came out today, and whoa (some crazy people got into almost all of them).

@verystressed: you mean got into almost all ivies?

@crabbie- as in the ones she applied for (HYPC). my friend actually told me that HK universities released decisions with 2 weeks notices, so they’ll accept HK offers instead of American ones. There’s hope that maybe these crazy smart people will give up their spots then…

@choongy
No interview call yo.
@MangoAddict
You have higher stats than mine, and hence a higher chance to get in. Let’s see what happens.

i am expecting around 85%-90% marks in cbse board this year,what are my chances for admission to hkust/hku?
what are the predicted ib points at 89%?

@applicant0007: can I know what engineering course you have applied for HKUST and whether you have had any interview?

at hkust i have opted for dual degree in technology and management as the first choice,economics and finance as second and third being finance…
no i have not had an interview as i applied last week only.
at hku ihave opted engineering as first and BBA as second choice,and economics and finance as third.

Did anyone who is taking IB exams in May 2011 got accepted to CUHK or City Uni of HK?

Hello everybody!

I am wait listed everywhere ):

I think I’ll just stay in America then, SIGH.
