HKU or HKUST

@ahtesham thank you! Well, I mailed HKUST and HKU showing them my offer and asked if they could possibly review my application this week. If they don’t reply I’ll go to PolyU since I reallyyy wanna go to HK and I like how they have mandatory work experience :)

That makes it two people dat I no of, who av interviews with HKUST. I hope we all get it.

@Mohamedwessim

Entered Nov 15, didn’t finish uploading until a week after (recommendation letters, etc). The interview email was the first contact from them.

@ahtehsham since it says “(Grade
12 or BC Provincially Examinable Courses)” on the pdf do u think they still look at ALL your grades? i think they dont but idk

@monagirl Good luck with that. I hope you end up in HK in your first choice university.
@willa96 Hmmm, really no idea then. I think you should check this with university

hey did any1 send their application to hku on 16th november?..
and got an interview…

@hkuadmission, u’ve posted repeatedly about ur hku application. I advice that u just b a little patient and see if they get to u. Forget about whether u submitted ur application an hour late. Even at HKUST, where they said that the early decision deadline was on Nov. 15th, they finally closed all early decision applications on Nov. 29th. If u apply a day after Nov. 15th, u will surely b considered for early decision-even if u apply two days later. I also submitted my app on Nov. 14th HK time, and I received a mail notifying me to send in my transcript as my uni had not sent it to them. Since that time, i’ve not heard anything from them, but I have chosen to b patient. If u lose ur patience now, and u finally get an offer from HKU or wherever else u have applied, u will feel bad at urself, when u look back at all ur panic. Zeust has great credentials, but is yet to get an interview. BTW, i only know of two people with interview invites-niselime, and a guy on facebook. Take it easy, we will all get in, and if we don’t, life continues. It will not change who u r as a personality, but rather it will only increase u in terms of experience, and put u in a better position next time. From ur posts, I suspect that u r quite young. Take Care of Urself.

@ababio

thank you for Ur comment.i really needed it. well i m 18 yer old and i don’t suppose i am very young.

Thanks. BTW, what do “yar thora sabar rakh le, kuj nai honda” and “yaaar sabar karlou gai,kyu ke sabar ka phall meetha hota hai…hehe” mean?

@Ababio “yar thora sabar rakh le, kuj nai honda” means Man please wait for a while it will be ok

I got an offer yesterday for the HKUST engineering programme!!
It is a conditional offer, so the requirements I need to get in are: 34 total IB points, 5 points on IB Maths HL and 5 points on IB HL Physics/ IB SL Chemistry.

I’ve already accepted, so even if I get an offer from HKU I’ll still go to HKUST.

Congratulations!

@marta1116, congratulations. I hope u meet up with their requirements.
