Do hku and hkust admission offices have Christmas and new year holiday and postpone the admission reviews?

^Yes! I did mailed one of their ALS officers and got a autoresponse stated HKU’s offices are closed till 27 December. Hopefully they will get back to us in few days. :D

:D lol for the last few days I checked my email everyday and kept getting frustated

So I was just talking to a friend about HKU and he seemed to think that HKU is in the middle of the city.

Im sure that I read somewhere that HKU was on the outskirts of the city. So which one is true?

HKU is the university that is closest to the city, particularly Central (where lan kwai fong is)

hope that clarifies your question :)

Would like to ask those who applied to POLYU, was there a need to write a personal statement (nonjupas application here)

Is there anyone who apply for SCIENCE under fast-track route and got an interview or an offer yet?TATATATAT

I am sooooo worried because i have applied HKU, HKUST&CUHK all on NOV. 7th. But none of them give me an interview… And the results for FAST-TRACK is not that far

^ me too! I’m applying for science too and still waiting

@Tnadnepkrad
so good to meet you!!XDXDXD
did you hear from HKU for anything? I only got e-newsletter every month but no interview. TAT

Haha are you international or local applicant? Isn’t HKU send the results of fast track on january? I got no news from hku :(

well, I am a Chinese mainland student but because I am studying in an international high school so I applied as an international applicant.
I am so worried because 3 of my friends had already received conditional offer. However some of my elders told me to wait patiently because SCIENCE department made decisions very slow and late even some of them didn’t need interviews and got an offer…@@

And do you know where to check the application status?

I see… HKU website says they’ll open the applicatiom status check on feb…

That’s really late… but no news means we still have hope~HAHA
Wish we will all get admits soon.: )

Finally got an offer from Hkust in science :D

Btw, is it okay if I email Hku asking them to review my applicatiom before HkUsT deposit deadline?

wow!!! Congrats! have you just received the offer via email?
did you have an interview first to get the offer?

I think it will be fine to email HKU, maybe this can boosts them to make decision earilier! ~

I’m an international applicant from Taiwan. I recently found out that I can apply to HKUST with Taiwan’s College Entrance Exam. I can’t decide whether to apply as an international or Taiwanese.
My SAT score is 1990 and my TOEFL score is 115. I haven’t taken the SAT Subject Tests (Math 2& Physics) but it will be above 700. Do I stand a chance as an international applicant?

For Taiwanese students who read this, I might get around 70 on the CEE. Should I try as a Taiwanese applicant?

Thank you so much!

@scottellen no interview
they send email to me
I think I’m going to email them because the deposit isn’t a small amount of money (20000 HkD)

I am not Taiwanese… but maybe i think you can ask HKUST directly because I saw this on its website
