hm. anyone know...?

Would a college with binding admissions accept ACT scores from the December test? (The deadline is December 1st.)

I took the October ACT just last week and I’m worried I didn’t do as well as I had wished. (I had only been preparing for a few weeks because my clueless guidance counselor thought no schools on the east coast accepted the ACT, so I had to find out about this test on my own.) My first practice test was the diagnostic test in the McGraw-Hill book (meaning no preparation before the test.) I got a 25 composite score (25 English, 23 math, 31 reading, 22 science. Obviously, my science and math brought me down on that test.) After that test I went over and studied a lot of test strategies and tips and it definitely helped me a lot.

So basically, I’m worried about my score for the October ACT. I’m not sure I did very well…except I’m sure I improved on the science a whole lot (I predict a 26 scaled score for that.) It’s weird though, because I thought I did much better my 2nd time taking the SATs and my scores actually went down. So maybe if I think I didn’t do well it’s a good sign? Ahaha.

Thanks in advance for any responses. :D

I would doubt that they would take them, as by the time they get the scores they will likely already have a decision. but you should check with someone in the admissions department of the specific school.

I would retake the test if I were you. If anything you can use your new score to appeal if they do not accept you.

Only the college could tell you for sure … ask them.
