I’d be surprised if you’re not in, assuming that you have good recs, essay(s), & interview.

your rank is definitely sweet…and those AP 5s behind IB grades will stand you in good stead in the admissions process. Nice SATs and awesome ECs. Lots of hours. You look all set, so good luck!

Hey, I’m a bassist too, are you thinking of majoring in music if you go to Yale. Did you send in a tape with your application?

Nope. I want to major in economics. I want to try out for the orchestra but I think I’ll do that when i get there.

yo, wut HS do you go to? I’m a fellow Texan too, and I go to Cy-Falls HS in Houston!

great chances for yale

Plano East

you’re like me when it comes to test scores, 2 800s and a random 680. It probably won’t hurt you as much as it hurts me because it’s in the wacky section that they haven’t perfected yet. And since you managed an 800 in the other english section, you’re obviously not bad at English. My 680 was in math…

I only took that writing test once. On the PSATs I got 75 twice. I just wasn’t gonna sit through four more hours on a saturday morning.

nice grades and all, but i think your EC’s are a bit over the place… and clubs like “go club” sound iffy.

hmm? its as legitimate as chess. I teach new players. Its an ancient asian board game.

But yea they are kind of all over the place. I can never pick one thing to pursue. I rather just do everything which is probably going to hurt me. I was pretty much forced to drop art in school to take IB choosing Orchestra instead. I didn’t need to take more than one world history class but ended up taking 3. I mean for my senior year I requested to take another class than was allowed on my schedule and I still need 1.5 credits to graduate which I’m doing through independent study. So I’ve got 9.5 credits senior year haha.
