Hi guys, did anyone else apply to this program? I did and they never replied back… Even if I got rejected, I would at least like some confirmation haha.

Thanks.

Hi guys, did anyone else apply to this program? I did and they never replied back… Even if I got rejected, I would at least like some confirmation haha.

Thanks.

Call them.

It says on the website “final admissions decisions will be made by June 1”. You might send an email or call just to tell them you are really interested in the program, and wanted to check on the status of your application.

Thanks for the responses guys!

Here is the email I got from them when I applied:
“Thank you for applying to Hofstra Universitys 2011 Summer Science Research Program (HUSSRP). We recently received your application and your teachers letter of recommendation. Applications will be reviewed by science faculty in the departments of Biology, Chemistry/Biochemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Geology, Mathematics, Physics and Psychology. Selected students will be invited for interviews with perspective science mentors in the last week of April or early May. Notification of placement in the HUSSRP will be sent by the end of May”

Does that mean I got rejected, since I didn’t hear from them yet?

I’m still a sophomore so I’m not familiar with how this process works haha. I was expecting a confirmation by email stating whether I got accepted or rejected.

bump…

Could anyone please answer this? It would help me greatly.

Thanks!

Just contact them…

I hope the OP pays some attention to you, because when I said that, I don’t think anyone got called.

Ah, I was officially rejected today.

Does anyone know if this program is supposed to be really good…? Or is it just another one of those random programs?

Apparently they picked 14 people out of 125+ people.
