Holiday Gift to Exercise Instructors?

I have never joined/taken any exercise class in my whole life until February this year when I signed up for classes at the township’s senior center (55+ are eligible). I enjoy the classes a great deal and all three instructors are awesome.

I really would like to send them a gift to show my appreciation for the holidays, plus definitely a hand written thank you note to go along.

Is gift card ok and a safe route? I am thinking maybe a Visa gift card type of thing.

Appreciate any suggestions and any do’s and don’ts.

Thank you.

From your own finaical perspective visa gift cards cost too much in fees, look for fee free cards like amazon or stores where there are no charges. You can always go with gift wrapped cash.

I can get Visa gift cards with no fees at TD Bank, downside is a $2.50 fee each month after 12 months if not used.

I don’t know where they shop so I hesitate to give store cards, Amazon is a good idea.

As a personal trainer with loads of friends and relatives who are also trainers and group fitness instructors, I can tell you that anything you do will be greatly appreciated. Don’t stress out overthinking it. An Amazon gift card or a gift card for a nice local restaurant will be just fine.

I teach Pilates and a few other things. I agree with Michael -anything is nice. Most of the presents I get are along the line of “teacher” gifts. Starbucks card, candle , chocolate, etc… I am happy to get them. The majority of my group exercise participants don’t give me anything (a few do) and many of my private clients do give me something.

I used to teach water aerobics wayyyyyy back in the day! I always loved getting a gift card to Academy or any other type of sporting goods place where I could get a new swimsuit.

One of my clients once gave me a bag of healthy type popcorn with a gift card taped to the bag and wrapped up in a new thick towel. It was the best gift!

I would think that a gift card and handwritten note would be a welcome and appreciated gift.

Last year a friend and I went together to get a gift card to a nice restaurant for our instructor and his girlfriend. We wanted it to be large enough to cover the entire bill, which was more than I wanted to spend on my own!
