<p>I was talking about a digital frame…he can download the pics…costs about 100, more if you get one that syncs up with an ipod.</p>

<p>Being military I have done the same, an old map for each state we live in. I also bought an antique war bond(WWII Flyer) and had it framed.</p>

<p>My h is what is known as a metro-sexual, so I buy him mens products, i.e. face/skin care, also bought him a couples massage at aveda. He bought 1 for us for our 15 yr anniv… was hooked after the massage and we now go at least 1x a year (massage and dinner its a great date)</p>

<p>I also have bought him tickets to sports events (date or family you chose).</p>

<p>1 yr. I bought a daytimer, put in all of the improtant dates (mine, kids, folks, siblings, nieces/nephews, etc) and phone numbers that he constantly asks for</p>

<p>Bought a golf membership</p>

<p>As you can see alot of presents that were gifts to me too!</p>

<p>However my H isn’t .
He wears levis jeans and sweatshirts to work, and flannel shirts to “dress” up. He just does not go clothes shopping at all. </p>

<p>He was talking about a couples massage though- he heard a show on the radio- thats a great idea.
I like tickets to events too.</p>

<p>Actually, I did buy tickets to an dinner auction coming up in Jan- mostly cause he seemed interested. ( the theme is diamonds and dice- so casino type things)
He likes Vegas ( I have never gone and am so not interested).
However- since he doesn’t own a tie, and he hasn’t worn his only sport jacket for over 10 years, I have to get him something to wear.
I usually dress up more than he does, I have a few cocktail dresses- but they would be so freezing in Jan ( plus I would be so pale)
a sweater?</p>

<p>Plus, for my h it wouldn’t cost a thing and I wouldn’t even have to go shopping…I was born in the outfit LOL</p>

<p>My H and I also started a tradition and we go out 1x a mo. for a date night, rotate ea month on who is in charge. It’s like dating all over again and we are both excited. Who ever plans tells the other the dress code and they drive so it is a surprise up to the moment we get there. You can do a gift certifcate saying on this day you will be ready at this time and just take them.</p>

<p>Side note for our eldest we bought flight time towards a private pilot lesson. The discovery lesson was $50, private lesson is 140.</p>

<p>My H and my brother buy joke presents for each other (sling shot to get rid of squirrels…don’t hate me or call PETA on us…screwdriver with light) THis yr he sent him a 10 million candle watt flashlight, can be seen for 4 miles (or so the ad says). Don’t know what bro has sent, but I am sure we’ll laugh. Oh BTW then the rest of the year they send the presents back and forth to each other…luckily bro is the last birthday b4 xmas so we alway have the last laugh.</p>

<p>Kathiep, I love your idea for the next occasion! Some things I’ve done in the past not already mentioned:
Ugg slippers (he loved these) , jackets/scarves,a laptop holding briefcase. Big hit last father’s day was a subscription to the baseball and football channels on cable. Also, if your H travels at all, Slingbox is terrific (can watch your hometown TV on your laptop, including sports games etc.).</p>

<p>I just bought him a book on hydroplanes that i know he will love & I think I will go to Costco and get him the usb turntable- we have so many records and some are out of print and they don’t even have cd versions.</p>

<p>Last year his thing was all the things one “needs” to make a good martini (ie: shaker, certain olives, onions etc.). I had a list when I went into the store of the exact stuff to buy.</p>
