<p>Has anyone here been through, or does anyone otherwise know about, the [Department</a> of Homeland Security’s scholarship program](<a href=“http://www.orau.gov/dhsed/]Department”>http://www.orau.gov/dhsed/)?</p>
<p>The information I have is pretty vague on the one-year service requirement after graduation. Does anyone have more information on what sorts of work at what sorts of places people have done/can do (especially in economics/social & decision science/psychology areas) for that requirement? How stringent is the “DHS-approved venue” requirement do they have a list it must be on, or does it just have to be visibly doing research in a relevant area?</p>
