For my religion class I am gathering perspectives on homelessness in the bay area, and I was wondering if you guys could give me any input or information you have on it. Could be opinion, facts, etc. I plan to take these (along with other sources) and compile them into a letter to send to the San Fran mayor.

Basically, tell me about your opinions/ knowledge of how homelessness is an issue in the bay area. How does it affect you? What do you think can be done?

Please give your first name so I can reference you.
(If you’re not a UC Berkeley student, please mention this as well)

you can ask ppl u see on campus, just stop them and ask them i guess… make sure they’re random ppl that you see, not someone that you know u can elicit a certain positive/negative response out of… iono good luck :)

lol… i know this may sound silly but… i live in southern California. I just was told by several people that there was a big issue of homelessness in the bay area, and i thought i would do my final project on that issue, since it is discussed a lot in our class. I’m also contacting bay area homeless shelters, etc.

I’m using the internet. I found resources. I just wanted some input from some random berkeley students. Doesn’t seem like you guys got much input. :/

I’m not sure homelessness is san francisco/californias biggest concern right now.

why should people have to live in houses and make money by doing socially “productive” tasks? Some of the hobos at berkeley choose to be homeless for various reasons (political, other…)

Homeless people make berkeley more interesting. I don’t see it as a problem so I can’t recommend a solution.
