HONEST Chances Please!

<p>I’m trying to put together a final list of colleges to apply to in case I don’t get in ED. Please give me any feedback. The more honest, the better!</p>

<p>GPA (UW):
9th Grade: 3.05
10th Grade: 3.52
11th Grade: 3.78
12th Grade (1st Quarter): 3.83
Overall GPA: 3.46 (9th grade really brings it down, w/out 9th it’s 3.65)</p>

<p>Rank: Does not rank, but right around 50% b/c Freshman year
SAT: 730CR, 780M, 800W…2310/2400
SAT II: 730 (US History), 780 (Math II)</p>

<p>APs: US History (5), this year: Microeconomics, Calc AB, Modern European History (we don’t have APs in things like English)</p>

<p>Recs: One great, One really good explaining my low early grades, great counselor rec</p>

<p>Essays: Good main essay, I hope!</p>

<p>ECs:
Lots of Volunteer Work (Tutoring, Club, Advising, etc)
Political Campaign Intern
Washington DC Intern
Legal Intern
Varsity Sports (Field Hockey and Lacrosse…won’t play in college)

<p>It seems to me that you’re applying to many all-women’s schools. Just out of curiosity, why is that? </p>

<p>These schools are a slight reach for you because of your gpa, but you seem to have solid ec’s and your test scores are impeccable. I wouldn’t be worried. You might not get into all of them, but you’ll certainly get into at least a few.</p>

<p>clgaynor - I really like the atmosphere of all-women’s schools. I didn’t start out mainly considering them, but the more colleges I look at, the more I’m drawn to the all-women’s ones (especially Wellesley!).</p>

<p>Weird. With your stats (maybe not GPA, but…) you might even want to applied to the ivies</p>
