Hello, so this year I am a senior at one of the top high schools in my state (Private and Jesuit) and I have already finished all my applications (I applied early action to all my colleges). The schools I applied to are Ohio State University, Miami University (Oxford), Indiana University, Pennsylvania State University, Saint Louis University, Boston College, University of Michigan, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and University of Virginia. I am looking to study Finance

ACT: 28 (English: 28, Math: 28, CR: 31, Science: 26)

SAT: 1900 (E: 630, M: 640, CR: 630)

GPA: 3.86

I am a first and second honors student

Extracurriculars (A Lot): President of Guitar Club, Vice President of Chess Club, Manager of successful local band, Lead guitarist of said band, Manager of small/local recording studio (local artists or people that are interested in recording can come in and learn and record some of their stuff that they can use or have us use to improve their career), I have been playing guitar actively and studying it for 12 years (the past 5 I have picked up Classical Guitar and LOVE it), In the springtime I run a small compost business to some local people (it’s not intended to make money, it is just something I enjoy doing), I work for my mom’s non profit business on the weekend mornings where kids with disabilities make dog bones from spent grains and gain some vocational experience; I also do peer tutoring throughout the week at lunchtime (We have 70 minutes for lunch divided into 2 periods, so I usually eat lunch in the first lunch period then in the second one I tutor in either calculus, spanish, or algebra 1 or 2), and then I was the team captain for my team for Cincinnati’s Walk for Life where we raised $1,250.

My senior year I did not take an easy course load (I don’t have a free bell this year at all), I am taking AP Psychology/Neuroscience, AP Spanish Language and Culture, Accelerated Physics, Calculus, American Authors/Contemporary Short Story (an intensive reading based course where you read classic works by some known and unknown american authors. The “/” represents the division between first and second semester), Gym, Government, and for my religion requirement I am taking Relationships/Responding to Violence.

My Junior year I did not take any AP’s but I did not take a free bell and I took the APUSH exam (my teacher pretty much taught us AP) and I got a 3 (band had a show the night before that was pretty important, so I wasn’t operating off of much sleep).

I plan on taking at the end of the year (based on advice from my teachers) the AP music theory exam, AP Lit, AP spanish language and culture, and AP psychology.

My teacher recommendations are great along with my counselor recommendation, and my essays were great as well (my sister who is a professional editor helped me edit them).

I’ve already been admitted Direct Admit to the Kelley School of Business and SLU offered me a $68K scholarship but I am still awaiting on the others to respond. I know I will hear back from BC and Michigan in the next few weeks but I am just wondering about the others. I think I’ll get into OSU and Miami, but I would like to have some input on the others. I am not expecting to get into the last 4 colleges I listed so if you guys agree you really won’t be hurting my feelings hahaha, I am just wondering what you guys think, thanks!
