Honest opinions

Hey! So I’m currently a junior in hs and I have wanted to go to Harvard forever. In all honesty, though, I am comfortable going to any Ivys as my first choice due to multiple reasons. I have been making straight A’s since I started hs and took honors classes last year and ap’s this year. I also play tennis (Rec) and I’ve been in student ambassadors since sophomore year I play trumpet (but not in the band) and I really like to volunteer (nehs and beta) and I’m in hosa and art club

Ivies are Reach schools for all applicants even with excellent grades/test scores, EC’s etc… Do your best, find an activity that shows your passion and apply. Also realize that there are thousands of colleges where you an excel and get a great education. Do not focus on only a few.

Do something unique your junior year or summer going into senior year. For example, I volunteered in Thailand.

Sorry to rain on your parade but you will need to apply to some non ivies and lower your expectations… everyone who applies already has good grades and basic ECs, and 90% of those people get rejected. the people who do get in have something a bit more special.
