Honesty is the best policy...seriously!!!!

Well, I want anyone with an opinion to be completely honest about my chances at these BA/MD programs. I love these three schools so Im applying either way to them, and I have a passion for medicine for personal reasons. I want to be a doctor. I think its slightly unnatural how much I want to be a doctor and help people, as cliche as it sounds, so what do you think…let me warn you my scores are blahhhhh…my SAT scores are pretty good all between 730 and 750. I come from a bery poor neighborhood in HISD so my options are fairly limited when it comes to SAT prep and all that jazz…

Rice BA/MD

Drexel BA/ M

HPME
4.PLME

Sorry for the long post…

Drexel maybe…but your SAT score is way too low for most programs, you better study hard and get at least a 1400 or 1450

as of right now, based only on SATs you would prob not stand a chance with the other 3

Just to note, with my personal experiences and of friends, Drexel/DCOM program is prob the easiest of all the BS/BA/MD of them to get into…I’ve basically confirmed this too with adcoms from Drexel, Lehigh, Nova, and DCOM.

I agree with Matrix. You definitely need to raise your SATs to >700.
Try taking Kaplan’s published SAT test prep which has 7 to 8 tests per binder. Practice as much as you can and retake your SATs.

I would suggest applying to 2 top tier, 2 -3 middle tier and 2 easy program.

If you are lucky, you just might get in at a ‘reach’ school. Depends on number of AAs that are going to compete with you at these schools.
All programs you mention enjoy diversity. So, you certainly have some chance.

But do apply to some middle tier and easy programs in case you end up with a great deal of competition with AAs with high Stats.
