Honesty is the best policy...seriously!!!!

Well, it is me again. I want anyone with an opinion to be completely honest about my chances at these BA/MD programs. I love these three schools so Im applying either way to them, and I have a passion for medicine for personal reasons. I want to be a doctor. I think its slightly unnatural how much I want to be a doctor and help people, as cliche as it sounds, so what do you think…let me warn you my scores are blahhhhh…my SAT scores are pretty good all between 730 and 750. I come from a bery poor neighborhood in HISD so my options are fairly limited when it comes to SAT prep and all that jazz…

Rice BA/MD

Drexel BA/ M

HPME
4.PLME

Sorry for the long post…

PLME and HPME are HUGE reaches. The schools are big reaches, much less the 6yr med programs.

Ses what can i do to increase my chances in your opinion…

wait, Brown PLME? I don’t know, I think that if you do obtain that ACT score then you have a really good shot at all of your schools.

I know that people like to think that black people are automatically in despite any inferiorities in credentials, but for you I don’t think that’s the case. Even if you weren’t black I think you’d have a really good chance especially given your financial situation.

Good Luck!

If you can get a 34 on the ACT your odds go up. If not, you’re still in trouble.

wow. you got a 1260 on the SAT and you’re predicting a 33/34 on the ACT? that’s quite an improvement there

I explained on previous posts my SAT situation… I didnt complete the SAT 1 that is why my score is so low…

well, if you able to score a 34 on the ACT, then you have great chances everywhere. Just make sure you write a killer essay.

chance threads arent going to help ya sis…just do your thing…
