I was invited to Phi Alpha Theta by my school’s History department today. Is this a big deal, in other words is it worth mentioning under Awards/Honors sections?

it wouldn’t hurt to mention it

If you join, it doesn’t hurt. By the way, it’s “societies” not “societys.” Sorry to come off as a total dbag.

haha yeah im the same way, its b/c i was going to put honor society

oh and btw, i just feel like all that greek stuff is like a fluff ec like mensa or nambla lol jk

Um, it depends if you’re involved or not. I’m an officer in my frat, and I have to do stuff all the time. It’s about all the responsibility you have. I guess societies also admit on the basis of academic achievement as well.

yeah, I’d put something along the lines of “Invited into blah blah blah Honor Society”

Obviously don’t list it under activities unless you’re actually involved.
