Honors at L&S - UCD

<p>I’m a community college student. I’m going to transfer to Davis this coming fall. I’m planning to do double majors in Economics and Statistics. I think I’m good at Economics but somehow I’m not good at Stat. </p>

<p>So, let’s say that when I graduated my major GPA in Econ was good enough to awarded ‘Honors’ but my major GPA in Stat was really bad and pulled my overall GPA down below 3.0 or something. </p>

<p>Do I still get ‘Honor’ or not? In other words, when L&S gives ‘honor’, do they look at overall GPA or do they look each major GPA?</p>

<p>I believe it’s overall. Since GE classes and other classes goes into GPA count as well. I don’t think they would just separate each major’s courses and calculate a separate GPA. I think each department has its own cut off GPA and requirements for honors. It’s best to check with UCD, but I’m pretty sure that’s how it goes.</p>
