Honor's college admissions

So, I’m not exactly sure how this works, so would someone care to explain?
If I were to be admitted to your average large state-university, would I find out if I got into the honor’s program (If i had applied, that is) the same time I found out about regular admission decisions?

bump <"cause I really sorta need an answer>

Guess it depends from univ to univ

Why don’t you post on the forum of the particular univ you’re interested in?

not interested in any particualr…thought there was a general answer… lol

For the University of Washington, I applied by the priority deadline of December 1st, found out I was in the regular school by early January, and found out I was in the honors college sometime in early March, I think… possibly earlier.

It varies from school to school. For some schools, you may find out that you are accepted to the honors program at the same time as you are admitted to the regular school; at other schools, you will find out may receive the honors college decision a few weeks-months after your regular decision; at some schools, you may be invited to apply for the honors college after you have been accepted to the regular program.

As you can see, it varies.
