Honors email? What does this mean?

<p>So I got this email today and this is how some of it goes.<br>

This event is by invitation only, and is a chance for Honors students like you to explore UC Irvine’s Campuswide Honors Program and meet Honors faculty and students. Come for morning information sessions on UC Irvine, the Honors program, and the schools and majors. Then explore the campus by taking a campus tour and visiting Honors housing!</p>

<p>Watch your email for an electronic invitation, which will be arriving in mid-February. In the mean time, please mark your calendar and plan to join us on Saturday, March 5!

<p>^so on the first line it says “for honors students like YOU”. Does this mean im in the CHP? On my UC Net, there is no admissions decision. So whats going on and what does this mean? Did any other people receive this email?</p>

<p>And can anyone else confirm that this means we have already been accepted to UCI and its honors program? Because I haven’t received my decisions yet either.</p>

How will I know if I am invited to join the CHP?
UC Irvine’s Office of Admissions posts admissions decisions on MyAdmissionsApplication@UCI message boards (MYAA) no later than March 31. If you are invited to join the CHP, this will be indicated in the left-hand column in your MYAA message board. You will also receive an invitation letter from the CHP office in the mail in late February.

I have been invited to join the Campuswide Honors Program. What do I need to do before I come to UC Irvine?</p>

<p>Your letter of invitation to the CHP will have a RSVP date, by which you need to tell us if you plan to join the Campuswide Honors Program. Also, please note that in order to enter the CHP as an incoming freshman, you must fulfill the UC Entry Level Writing Requirement before you begin classes at UCI in the fall. Finally, watch your email for communications from the CHP. We will have several honors information sessions this spring especially for students who have been invited to join the CHP. Watch your email for details about these events
