Honors Physics vs AP Physics

I signed up for AP Physics but got honors instead due to schedule conflict, but I still plan to take the AP exam though. Anyone know what material is not covered in honors physics but is in the AP exam?

if im not mistaken, it totally depends on what state/school. Each school has their own circulum

Like fleaman360 said, it’ll really depend on your state/school which topics are covered an which are left out. For AP Physics B for the most part it will be the same topics but more in-depth. Compare the course syllabus to the CollegeBoard AP Physics B syllabus and get a review book as soon as possible to cover as you go through the topics in school.

oh I am doing the same thing as you!!! my school does not offer ap physics…but i am planning to take the ap test…i am probably going to get a review book soon, and see what isn’t taught and just learn it myself…

It’s the opposite for my school. They apparently cut Honors Physics and they forced everyone signed up for Honors into AP Physics. Thankfully, I’m taking honors online and going to take AP next year.

oh okay thanks guys :)

yeah it’s really whack at my school because no one at my school is ever interested in physics due to its bad rep so the honors class and the AP class are taught by the same teacher in the same period because of the small amount of people interested (we had 9 people who stayed all the way through this year) and basically the class is the same for AP and honors kids with the same textbook but honors kids are given half the problems of AP kids so it ends up in all the honors kids transferring to AP because it looks better for college.
