Hey guys! I just thought I’d start a thread for those who got into the honors program. You know, get to know each other and such. In fact, since the honors is technically the “top 5%”, I’m curious how many of you will actually choose BC. I myself am undecided–have to wait for the ivy decisions tomorrow.

Anyways, let the merriment commence. I’ll lay out I little about me, and feel free to introduce yourself. Also, who’s planning on attending the honors day?

Name: Rachel
Location: MA
Likely things to partake in: A cappella, sailing, protestant activities
Likely major: Biology (pre-med)
Attending Honors Day: Yes

Hey guys, thought I’d bump this up on Ivy league day. Got waitlisted at Cornell so this is my new home unless Cornell finds somewhere to squeeze me in.

Dear Thecakeisalie9 : True story - the older of our two at Boston College was waitlisted at five Ivies (Yale, Penn, Princeton, Cornell, Harvard) and was called off the waitlist for Cornell - decided on Boston College even after the Cornell call came and have never looked back. Graduating this May, this older child was accepted by all of those same Ivy League schools for PhD work … and will likely choose between Stanford and MIT. The point that I offer your this evening is that Boston College will provide you a fabulous foundation for your four year undergraduate education. Good luck with your ultimate choice.
