<p>I don’t think this is going to affect your admission to Cornell too much. It’s such an elite school, and your hook can be easily overlooked as Cornell has thousands other students ready to replace you. If you cannot back up your “hook” by good GPA and/or SAT and/or ECs, the “hook” is not going to ensure your acceptance.</p>
