So I have the chance to work at Hopkins or Michigan but I don’t know which one to do. I like the small town feel of Ann Arbor and it is so much safer (I like to go out alot and I usually go by myself). Hopkins is a good oppurtunity but I feel I would have no social life there. This is my last year of freedom before grad school. What should I do?

have fun…

Why ask us? I mean not to offend you or anything but we don’t know what your life is like and we have never stepped into your shoes (at I think) so our decisions won’t be helpful, best thing to do is to go visit both places to see which one is better.
Sorry but make important decisions in your life should be your job because what happens if our influence caused you to make a bad decision?

cdz512 is 100% correct. the only thing i would add that may be helpful is think where you will be happier. If the opportunities and such from hopkins make you happy go there. Just have a good time

Well, I’ll suggest you go to Michigan.

You can make Michigan feel more like Johns Hopkins as far as rigor and resources go (in fact, that’s not even a challenge) but you can’t make Hopkins more like Michigan.

where pays more?
