<p>I basically got waitlisted and/or denied by all of my top schools (Williams, Wesleyan, Northwestern, UMichigan, Middlebury etc). I said fine, I got accepted into UConn but I was surprised that I didn’t make their honors program. I asked my counselor and we called the person in charge of our school’s applications at UConn and they were away for a week. So I hesitated wavering between UConn and Northeastern. On May 1st, I then stupidly found out that UConn is one of the schools still in the 21st Century that doesn’t have a system of online payment for the deposit. I sent it via mail on the 2nd and have since then found out that I should have been in the honors program all along. Recently however, I discovered that they are now not going to accept my deposit because it was a day late. Now, I know this was partly my fault for not sending it earlier. But, I really wish I had known about my Honors status in their school. Now, I must appeal to a higher power in the Admissions of UConn and just hope for the best.</p>
