Horrible 1st semester senior year attendance record...

I got accepted into my top choice school ED. I had 60 total absences this semester (its combined by class, not 62 days…) I have a 4.3 in all honors/ap, 3 A’s and 3 B’s.

Will the college see my attendance record? I don’t want to be rescinded :(

someone please answer… btw attendance doesn’t appear on the mid-year grades (seventh-semester transcript)

I don’t think it will matter too much unless you school does something drastic about it. You got accepted already - colleges tend to not rescind unless it’s a grade drop or something. Talk to your school counselor to see what he/she thinks about it.

btw…you should give it a day or so to get answers before bumping-especially now that it’s finals time and stuff.

I got alot of absences because I get constant migraine headaches… I don’t have a doctor’s note or anything, I just ran back home because the pain is too much sometimes. But yea, 60 total absences. The most is 18 periods for one class. I think I might be doing saturday school next semester, that’s not too drastic is it?

no harm in getting a doctors note from this point on. if the university says anything, you’ll at least have some proof

If you have a chronic health condition, certainly your physician shoul be involved! You need to walk into the guidance office on Monday morning, come clean about this health issue, and start the procedures necessary to draw up a formal 504 plan that will list the specific accommodations available to you because of your health issue. This is your legal right under ADA. The paperwork may take a bit of time, but your life will be made much easier.

Good luck!

you won’t get rescinded b/c of absences – only if your grades fell off a cliff. happymom’s advice is very good, however.

Good thing to know T26E4, do schools even see your attendance record?

Thank you everyone for calming me down lol :)
