HORRIBLE GPA (not exaggerating)

I’m too lazy to explain what Kumon is, so if you are intersted, go here:
http://www.kumon.com/about/default.asp?language=USA</a>. It’s basically like Kaplan/PR except it’s for all ages: preschoolers up to algebra 2-ish material… it was also founded by a Jappie <represent!></represent!>

goofball:
I will have taken 7 AP classes by the end of senior year. Like others have recommended my doing, I am going to go full-out senior year and attempt a straight A/A+ across the board. Assuming I pull that off, I think I am in a fairly good/competitive position (I hope). However saying these things is 6.02 X 10^23 times easier said than done. Earning an A in an AP class is outright difficult, and will require SIGNIFICANT work on my part – especially considering senioritus and all.

I plan to major in biomedical sciences / pre-med area – this is why I’m intersted in NW, WUSTL, and Emory as my reaches. Will U. Wisconsin – Madison be a good safety, and U. Mich be a good match for me? Does anyone have any suggests on more safeties and matches?

I think, from what i’m reading, is that applying ED to any college with a not-so-stellar GPA, is worse than raising your GPA throughout Senior year and applying RD.

Not sure though, anyone have any inputs on this? I’m in pretty much the same position as you, interms of wondering to ED or not due to a messed up GPA.

*Kumon is basically this (EDIT: opps, not korean - japanese.) started company that began by teaching mathematics in courses. Basically, they have levels ranging from “A -> like Z”, A being as easy as 4th grade math or so, and Z being pretty difficulty. They’ve begun tutoring kids in English and other subjects. I’ve heard of a lot of asian students, as well as some american kids now’a days, going there beginning as young as 3rd grade. (Myself included, started further than I can remember)
