hot women at the UCs

Sike. K here are my stats

GPA: 3.6 weighted
3.5 UC GPA
SAT I: 1700
SAT MATH IIC: 650
SAT BIO: 560
*rigorous ap/honors courses…8 total**

bunch of extra curriculars, and CS hours, and consistently shown strengths in maths/ competitions…

chances at

UC IRVINE: Electical Engineering (1st choice)\Undeclared (2nd choice)
UCSB: Electical Engineering (1st choice)\Undeclared (2nd choice)
UCSD: Mechanical Engineering\Undeclared
UC DAVIS: Electrical Engineering\Undeclared

all slight reaches except ucsd which is a reach.

uc irvine - slight reach
uc sb - college of engeneering program – reach, other – slight reach
uc sd - reach
uc davis - slight reach

yea, if you bring that sat I score up to a 2000 you’ll get into all of those schools

btw, how is your UC gpa lower than your weighted GPA??

Just wondering, is he a reach at alot of those schools because of Electrical Engineering?

You should’ve brought up that SAT score; it’s your weakest point.

UCSD: Large Reach
UCI: Slight Reach-Reach
UCSB: Slight Reach-Reach
UC Davis: Slight Reach-Reach

“Just wondering, is he a reach at alot of those schools because of Electrical Engineering?”

No, but that deffiantly doesnt help. His UC GPA is a 3.5, where the average admit for Irvine, Santa Barbara, and Davis is around 3.8-3.9 and for UCSD is well over a 4.0. His SAT of 1700 is well below Irvine, Santa Barbara, and Davis’ average admit of around 1820-1840 and UCSD’s average admit of around 1940. Electrical engineering deff can even make it tougher, but these schools are already slight reaches-reaches, and in UCSD’s case, a large reach. Electrical engineering makes these schools even tougher for the poster to gain admission to. I would apply most likely forget about UCSD, and focus on attempting to get the SAT score up another 100-150 points and hope for admission to one of the mid-tier UC’s (UCI, UCSB,UCD). The poster should also apply to UCSC, UCR, UCM for some match schools.

"yea, if you bring that sat I score up to a 2000 you’ll get into all of those schools

btw, how is your UC gpa lower than your weighted GPA??"

First of all, a 3.5 UC GPA and 2000 SAT will most deffiantly not get you into UCSD. Their average admit has a 1940 SAT and 4.04 GPA. Even with a 2000 SAT, the poster would still be a reach to UCSD, as his GPA would be way way below their average, and his SAT would be just barely above the average. It would, however, likely get the poster into UCI/UCSB/UCD.

Secondly, UC GPA is simply capped weighted GPA. So most individuals UC capped GPA’s are obviously lower than their fully weighted GPA’s. Im not sure why you find this strange. UC GPA’s are almost always lower than uncapped weighted GPA’s.

^ uh not if he took 8 honors/ aps

^^ What is the max honors/ap courses allowed when computing UC GPA? if it is 8, then you are correct and that is strange and wouldnt make sense. if it is less than 8, then having a lower uc gpa than weighted gpa would not be strange.

It’s 8 semesters (equivalent to 4 year-long courses), I believe.

There are also some courses that the UCs throw out when computing the UC GPA. Among these are health, physical education, student government, and teaching assistant-type courses.

Assuming you are a California resident,
UCSD: Super Reach (Engineering)
UCI/UCD/UCSB: Slight Reach
