Hotchkiss and Exover

Would you say Hotchkiss can “match up” with schools such as Exeter or Andover or SPS?

Well in terms of rigor, yes they are pretty much all on the same playing field. I’m not really understanding your question… Mind rephrasing?

Without a doubt!!

I see how my question might have been confusing. I wanted to know if it would be a fair comparison of these schools, seeing how Exeter and Andover are seen as the “Ivy leagues” of boarding school.
I tend to lurk a lot but not post much, so maybe I should work on being a bit more clearer :stuck_out_tongue:

Of course. There are at least 8 schools that could be considered around the same level as E and A.

The Ivy League is an athletic conference.

To see which schools are in the same athletic conference as Andover and Exeter:

Andover and Exeter are also members of the ESA (Eight Schools Association). The ESA member schools are:

Choate Rosemary Hall
Deerfield Academy
The Hotchkiss School
The Lawrenceville School
Northfield Mount Hermon School
Phillips Academy Andover
Phillips Exeter Academy
St. Paul’s School

Per Wikipedia:

The folks on the other thread wondering about NMH might be interested in the company it keeps.

@stargirl3 and a terrible one at that

I see, Ive never seen that organization before.
Thanks for giving me all this info @CoatieMom!! Also thank you @stargirl3 for clarifying that for me, I didnt know that. This is why I love CC :stuck_out_tongue:

Im not concerned or anything because I know Hotchkiss is a top-notch school, I just wanted to find how the schools compared. Im sorry if I offended anyone

The Ivy League may be an athletic conference but the schools which comprise it are recognized for their academic superiority so you were not off to be trying to use that as an analogy.

Hotchkiss plays with the big boys. It is more important to determine if it is a good fit for you. The quality of the educational experience matches Andover, Exeter, SPS, Deerfield, Groton, as its peers.(and Choate and Taft and Lawrenceville, etc).
