Hotel at FCO?

My d will need to spend one night in a hotel at Rome’s Leonardo da Vinci airport. Anyone familiar with the hotels? I’m considering the Hilton Rome Airport hotel, but only if it’s within walking distance of Terminal 3. Or maybe the Hilton Garden Inn?

Any advice?

On the holtels’ websites it will usually tell you how near they are. I think you can find it in the “what’s near by” part of the menu.

Highly recommend Hotel Seccy. Have stayed there several times. 5 minutes to airport and they arrange inexpensive transportation. You can get a good deal by checking the tripadvisor discount booking sites. There’s a decent little restaurant right next door if you arrive late. Always filled with pilots.

hmom5, does the Hotel Seccy have transportation from the airport, or do you have to call for it? It looks lovely!

Call them to arrange transportation. It is lovely and I’d feel fine about my DD staying there alone. Really shop the sites for price–should be under 100 Euro. Great value, much nicer than the other airport hotels. And the seafood pasta at the restaurant next door! Shocking inexpensive when you’ve stayed in the city.

Chedva, when I was returning from my junior year abroad, I needed a place to stay near FCO. I chose the Courtyard Marriott. It as not as close as the Hilton, but is significantly cheaper (for me, it was half as much). They offer a shuttle to and from the airport for 6E.

Update: I booked her into the Hotel Seccy. She had no problems getting there, thought the hotel was nice and the breakfast good. The only issue she had was that she didn’t know how to turn the heat down in the room, and it was too hot! And the price couldn’t be beat - 85 euros.

Thanks, hmom5.
