<p>Our family was lucky enough to get a really great deal on a flight to Orlando for Family weekend in October. </p>
<p>I'm assuming that traffic and parking will be horrendous that weekend and was wondering if any of the local hotels offer shuttles to UCF on Saturday or if there is any other means of getting to UCF for the festivities. We'll even walk if it's not too far. </p>

<p>I don't know about shuttles, but in terms of walking there's a Holiday Inn Select directly across Alafaya Trail from UCF. Here's the link. You'd probably have to contact the hotel to find out about shuttle info, but they do cater to Siemens, UCF and the Research Quad next door, so they might have something.</p>

<p>Thanks! I just booked with them for $44 a night plus tax with the Entertainment card rate (pull-down menu on the Holiday Inn page). I just now purchased a 2009 Entertainment book for $15 shipped! With that, I'm saving $30 a night. Thanks again zebes, even if we have to walk to the festivities that Saturday it's well worth it!</p>

<p>Also, parking really isn't as bad as you'd think for family weekend. I'm an out-of-state student, too, and we've never had problems parking.</p>
