Hotel School vs ALS

I’m just wondering which school is statistically more difficult to get into, Hotel School or Agricult.&Life Sciences? I understand that each school looks for a few varying qualities in applicants, but I want tho know the general trend in admittance rates for the two schools. Also, what is the Hotel School looking for in applicants (I would prob concentrate in accounting, finance, real estate)? Thanks

c’mon now fellas

Hotel school looks for work experiences in the hospitality industry.

Statistically, it is more difficult to get into Hotel school (acceptance rate), but you can get into hotel school with really low test scores (BUT NOT LOW GPAs), which could not happen anywhere else in the Ivy schools.

Are you talking about AEM? That’s the only program in CALS I can think of that could be compared to Hotel Administration…

The Hotel school is looking mainly for a good fit; for example a student with a 4.0 GPA and a 1500/1600 SAT with no work experience would have a difficult time getting admitted into the hotel school, but could easily get admitted into ALS. While a student with a 3.6 GPA and a 1400/1600 SAT with great work experience would have a difficult time getting admitted to ALS, but would probably get admitted into the hotel school.

I got into the hotel school ED, with amazing work experience, a 3.6 GPA, and 30 ACT.

agree. I’m in ED too. See you in the fall!
