Hotels Phoenix

OK CC experts…I am going to Phoenix arriving Jan 19 and leaving Jan 23. I really WANTED to stay at the Westin Downtown but the $250 per night cost is really NOT what I want to spend all my money on. So…I’d like to be in that same neck of the woods…close to the light rail as I do not plan to rent a car. The concert I’m going to is at Trinity Cathedral Episcopal (downtown), and I will be dining at Nubou at Teeter House one night (I can get a ride back to the hotel). SO…sage ones, any suggestions…I’m thinking in the $100-$125 per night range. I’ve looked at the Holiday Inn on West Osborn, and I will call them tomorrow perhaps. They seem a good location for my purposes.

But I’d love suggestions from you all.

Hotwire is showing a downtown hotel in Phoenix (4 star rating) for $129 (reg. 244). Perhaps you can figure out if it is a hotel you want to stay at (it is the part of the site that does not name the hotel until you buy it). I use discount sites like Hotwire or Priceline’s name your won price.

I meant to say Priceline’s Name Your OWN Price, but it was too late for me to correct.

If I was renting a car or had my husband with me, I would do the Priceline Name your price thing. BUT I have very specific locations and I really can’t risk getting a hotel that is not in the right spot…or close. But I might do it if it comes to that.

In the meantime…anymore suggestions??

Can’t help but did you try tripadvisor? I like their sorting tools (downtown, airport, price, etc.) and the little Google location map that comes up…they often have coupon codes/special offer notes as well.
