<p>I went on the site for the first time yesterday (I know it’s been around for years…), and it seems to me the ratings are skewed and just plain incorrect.</p>
<p>A lot of ugly, I mean UGLY obese guys get rated higher than they should, and good looking guys are rated lower; genuinely beautiful girls are rated low, whereas girls who just show boobage are rated high even if you can’t see their faces…is it just my observation or is this true? </p>
<p>Are the ratings indeed wrong?</p>
<p>Also, not trying to sound mean, but a lot of the guys who rate say 7 or 8, or even 9 would not get a single look on the street…their faces are messed up and they’re short. I mean, what is up with this site?</p>
<p>It seems like every thread I read in College Life makes me think, “Well, now I’ve seen everything,” but apparently I’m wrong each time.</p>
<p>Who thinks hotornot is an unbiased, objective forum for judging people’s beauty? Well hang on, beauty isn’t an objective thing by any stretch of the imagination. Also, the ratings are just as biased as the people who give them. I’d imagine a lot of people who rate on hotornot are guys, who give preference to boobs over faces.</p>
<p>If you were expecting accuracy from hotornot, you definitely need to learn about how the Internet works.</p>
<p>Of course beauty isn’t objective, but these guys are ugly by many people’s standards and society’s standards. They do not deserve anything above a 5, let alone 7,8, or 9.</p>
<p>Girls judge girls by their facial features; guys only judge on boobs and bum, and could find an ugly girl fit. But whatever.</p>
<p>actually i visited hotornot after you posted this and what i saw doesn’t really jive with what you posted…looks like the good looking girls are getting rated pretty high. a lot of 9s. the ugly girls got 4-7s.</p>
<p>Nah, old women get voted 9’s…no offense, but old people aren’t good looking hehe.</p>
<p>Also, buff guys keep getting high votes, although it’s a turn off for me. (I’m female.) Is it just me, or do all girls like buff guys with ugly faces? (The toned look is better in my opinion…maybe I just have weird taste.)</p>
<p>I guess I’m kind of peeved because my friend–who I think is model material/ 6’4"–whatnot is only at a 8.5 on his rating. 8.5…ugh, and the guys rated higher than him are fuglay.</p>

<p>Someone else I know posted 2 different pics on 2 different accounts. The first one is at 9.6 and the second one is averaging 8…this site is a joke.</p>
<p>To all clueless readers out there: hotornot is a joke, just like everyone with an ounce of sense has known since they found out about the thing.</p>
<p>If your friend has a low rating on hotornot, that is no reason to be upset. Neither is it a reason to be happy if he has a high rating. It means absolutely nothing. Remember this for future reference.</p>
