If you get one, I highly recommend the ones with the removable griddles. MUCH easier to clean.</p>
<p>jym, lol! I have the same issue with crock pots. they keep multiplying. I currently have 3! I guess those are just default gifts that people keep coming back to!</p>

<p>“Where’s Mom Now That I Need Her?” is a cookbook and so much more. It tells you how to grocery shop, how to do laundry, how to clean different things, and contains a lot of easy recipes. Someone gave it to me when I got married and I STILL use it, 24 years later. I will be buying this for my kids when they get their first apartments.</p>
<p>I recommend the Spiral Bound Edition. It will get heavily used.</p>

My son had the same problem…all those lime smoothies with a little bit of a South of the Border flavoring.</p>
<p>I would vote for a Home Depot gift card. Tools, small appliances, lamps, shelves, whatever.</p>
<p>A tool kit is also a great idea. MIL gave S1 a tool kit when he turned 16. It had several screwdrivers, pliers, a small hammer, an oil can, socket wrenches, a crescent wrench, all in a handy case.</p>
