Someone posted about this before, but I just wanna check again… (haha)

I really would love to live in Court/Mews in a double.

What to answer on the housing app?

a co-ed residence hall, a double room

I’m a pretty neat person, and requested a single. I’m pretty social though and make friends pretty easily, so hopefully it will all work out.

so this is for Court/Mews? (not guaranteed but moves towards?)

I’m so scared of not liking my roommate but as of today I think I’m going for a double… I’m putting early bird because I also want morning classes… and in all truth I leave piles of clothes everywhere but I want to make sure I end up with someone who is sanitary (I don’t like the thought of old food rotting or anything like that :p) lol

There is no set formula for Mews/Court or any other dorm. There are just a couple questions, and I doubt anyone will put that they want to live in a mess or have a messy roommate. The Early Bird/Social questions would pertain more to a roommate than an entire dorm. So auracon I would drop the whole Mews/Court thing.

Well, what I’m sayin is that I do understand that whole process is done randomly. But I do realize that these questions might have an effect on setting the direction of the process… Just wanted to see I was on the right track, I’m not trying to find the perfect answers for Mews/Court. Thanks for your comments though… :)

I put Studious in nature. . . .i hope that wasn’t a mistake.

I wish I could check both boxes. lol.

I know that there’s at least one dorm that has a reputation of partying all night, and being incredably loud. I like parties, but I also like sleep and am not overly loud.

I said that I couldn’t sleep with noise, but could study over it.

Like you, I’d like to be in mews or court, but I think the questionaire is mainly for roommate selection.

I tried to figure this same thing out before, but I ended up deciding there was really no point. After all, since these dorm halls are all going to be repopulated with freshmen this fall, doesn’t it make sense that any of the dorms could be made into the “social party hall,” based on what kind of people the housing people have living there? I figured the questions were just to try and group people with similar sleeping habits and noise tolerance levels on one floor, or something like that.

I also said that I didn’t care if my dorm room was a mess (it was the truth!). Now that you guys mention it, that might not have been the best idea… :(

why couldn’t they just let us put down first and second (even third) choices for dorms, like many other schools do? i think random computer generations are stupid.
