housing application

on the housing application it says “are you requesting a Quiet Area?”…is this like a quiet hall where its quiet 24/7 or is it just like an area in the hall where it is quiet that you can go to when you want to study?

I am pretty sure it means quiet floor. I selected no for that one and put that I like it quiet in my room after 11pm for studying. That way you will probably get a quiet roommate, but won’t get stuck on a 24/7 silent floor.

Ok I have a question. I just went to check my preferences (see above post) and I noticed that on the “apply now” page, it says that I have submitted an application for EFS, resident halls, AND the Stevens Court. I don’t ever remember doing this and didn’t get any confirmation email. I am wondering if it is a glich or does everyones say this?? Mine says…

Quiet area is usually a floor where they have rules on no loud noise after a certain time. If you really want a quiet floor, there is no guarantee you will get it as a freshman. The only really quiet dorm/floor is Hansee, and that is for upperclassmen mainly.
