Contact housing and try and find the reason that the requested roommate and him didn’t get put together. Sometimes they can fix it very easily.

living in radisson must be nice, since its a hotel, each room gets their own bathroom, what about the beds, do you get to use the ones from the hotel? and its right across the street from campus so that’s pretty good. The fluor tower isn’t bad either, 4 rooms and a kitchen or living space, heard it divided between guys and girls.

I’m assigned to FLUOR SGLE, does that mean I don’t have to choose a roommate? and no suite? thanks

Weedeeg- you have a Fluor Tower single- no roommate.

Nice I’m in EVK New Floor 3 with a sink and my rooomate I wanted. There’s a new facebook group for the new/north residents to, we couldnt post in the other one

My son got Fluor, first choice. He is not into Facebook. Anyone know what the kids are like at Fluor? Are there other freshmen Viterbi students there? How do you get assigned the quiet floor? If you don’t get the quiet floor, are the other floors pleasant or party like?

Flour is relatively quiet AFAIK. He should get on facebook, theres ~1500 of us up there and now that we have housing assignments alot of people are also joining their specific floor groups so we know each other

I got second floor of Pardee tower :-)

does anyone know where the floorplan is for the entire building of north?

caliboi: I don’t think there are any on the site.
If you want to know where your room is you might try to contact the RA on the facebook group. My D did that and knows exactly where her room is (though that is for another residence where the RA is accessible through facebook)

so i paid my 400 bucks and now i’m on my way to submit my reassignment forms!!! I don’t want to live in Trojan Hall. But anyway, I hope I get a spot in Birnkrant or New or North…I’d even take the Raddison too.

Idno–you are on the first floor

Is there any overall floor plan for all the suites/rooms on each floor for Fluor ? or other housing?

Is there any difference if we pay for the room deposit now or days later?

does anyone know how we get in contact with our roommates? mine was randomly assigned, doesnt have a screenname, doesnt seem to be on facebook, and i cant find any contact info!! help!!

is is normal for a freshman to be rooming with a sophomore? i was randomly matched up, and now my roommate is a sophomore.

Might be a very good thing to be matched with a sophomore because you will get some help from someone who knows about the school. Most important thing is to get a nice, kind roommate.

Guys I got assigned to Flour, and it was one of my top choices but I am pretty out-going, usually enjoy to party, did I choose the wrong dorm? Is Flour really quiet and slow, or will I be ok?

inthemoney, I know someone who is very outgoing, likes to party and also cares about academic marks, was assigned to Fluor. Some students like to party in other noisy dorms, then go back to their own quiet dorms for studying or whatever. You have nothing to worry about.

When we were at SC for Explore, one of the RAs gave us as tour of Fluor. It seems to have the right combination of social life, quiet times and conveniences. My
D really liked it and she got assigned to it.
I think it’s wonderful that the kids get to know their roommates and floormates through Facebook before moving in the dorms.
When I went to college I met my roommate 2 days before classes started ( and NO orientation)… I know… I am old!
