<p>Yesterday was Housing Day at Harvard – the annual ritual when the freshmen receive their formal invitations to the Houses in which they will spend the next three years. The crazy and noisy welcome that the upperclassmen put on to welcome the new residents is one of the biggest outpourings of Harvard school spirit this side of a Yale football game.</p>

<p>I was admitted in early and I’m still not sure if Harvard will be the happiest place for me, but those pictures sure make me feel really happy and feel affinity for Harvard. Oh, spirit!</p>
