Housing for Transfers

I was just accepted as a transfer into CAS. I was just wondering what buildings have primarily transfer students. I’m hoping to be put with other transfer students.

Also, would it be a bad idea to do speciality housing coming in as a transfer student when I don’t know anyone? Is it hard to meet people that way?

Specialty housing is always a good way of meeting people with similar interests. They put transfer students wherever there is an opening, and there is really no way of telling if there are any other transfer students living in that building. The housing options vary - I know transfer students who got stuck in a crappy dorm, and other who got singles in great apartments of Comm Av.

I heard that the speciality housing fills up really quickly, and that it’s really difficult to get an open spot. Is that true?
