Hi everyone, right now I am searching for colleges to attend next year using the college board website, but the colleges I am looking at are slightly far from my home so I will also need a place to stay. I see that many of them have the option for living on campus with a room and board. If they don’t have that listed, is it correct to assume that there is no housing available? Would paying for an apartment be worth it if that was the case?

No reason to assume anything. Just go to the individual colleges’ web sites – if housing is available, they will say so.

If no housing is available, obviously an apartment would be worth it. You don’t want to sleep in your car, the college green, etc.

most 4 year colleges have housing available. what schools are you looking at?
