Housing Info Up!

ok sorry I brought it up :P

I’m in the same boat you are, current_student

sweet…

i’m not alone in my suckiness at random luck

Apply for priority or become some sort of dorm staff to better your options in those unpreferred years…

Oh so much draw drama. Don’t want to think about it now =] It’s only September.

Bottom line: don’t stress about housing right now =] just enjoy your first year at Stanford, everyone.

…and your second, even if you get/got shanked by housing

yeah, but if you’re a girl there are also full length mirrors in the bathrooms (in rinc they were on the girls floor and the coed floor, but not on the boys floor… strange)

is that supposed to be a major plus? haha. i could just buy one at walmart for 10 bucks and have it in my room. and i remember for sure that at least lag, toyon, branner, and roble had full length mirrors in the hall or bathrooms.

I agree with current_student… but if you buy a mirror for your room, be careful what you use to stick it to the wall =X

haha my bad, i responded to something written like a month ago hahaha

suuuuurrreee you did. haha.

current_student: funny thing – we’re both in rooms that are MEANT to be doubles (i assume you are anyway cause of being an upperclassman in serra…?) but my room is now a triple. right now the plan is for a three story bunkbed… with me just having a mattress on the floor! ****!!!

i’m not an upperclassmen in serra. haha. when did i say that?

sorry about the bunk bed situation. actually, if your room is as big as the stern/wilbur rooms, i think bunking to beds and just putting the extra desk in the middle of the other two (if it fits) isn’t that bad.

wow i am just on top of things today – i meant celestial

Aww, that’s unfortunate, megaho. Hopefully the room is not that small. I have friends last year that got put in a triple that used to be a double… but the 3 of them had so much space, I can’t believe the room was ever a double. Perhaps you will be as lucky. Bunking beds works, but I would prefer lofting the bed and putting the desk underneath. This is pretty common, and it’s a good space-saver.

Where are you living, megaho?

narnia!! it’s far away, but the house as a whole is pretty spacious

^i remember not finding out that there was a dorm called narnia until during that SNL skit time. you know…“the chronic-WHAT-cles of narnia” skit. god that was ■■■■■■■■. why did people even think that was funny? fads…sheesh.

anyway, i didn’t believe anyone who said we had a NARNIA until i saw it on our map. haha.

I have a friend who lived in Narnia last year… he spent almost every night with his friends in Castano =p Guess it wasn’t the place for him. I don’t know much about it, and I’ve never actually been there. I hope you enjoy it, megaho! Feel free to stop by Serra and say hi.
