<p>i’m ranking EC first on the housing lottery. but on the roommate survey part, it asks about smoking/cats. i know only 2 of the halls on EC have smoking, so if i say that i don’t want smoking anywhere, will they just put me on a non-smoking floor, or will they not put me in EC altogether because some of EC smokes?</p>
<p>The preferences are used to give you a temp room after the lottery, so if you say that you want to live in EC and you don’t want smoking, you will be temped on one of EC’s 8 lovely non-smoking floors if you end up getting it in the lottery.</p>
