How important is living in a building with a dining hall?

If I live in a building without a dining hall, how bad is the walk to food going to be in Winter? (I come from a tropical country…so I wouldn’t know.)

Thanks :)

It’s not important, it’s not far.

No problem at all. If you live on South campus, you’re pretty much guaranteed to be within a stone’s throw from a dining hall. Not sure about north campus, but its probably only slightly less convenient than on south campus (because unless you can stand Elder food, Sargent is the only dining hall on north you’d eat at).

I agree with sainclaire. I can’t speak for north campus, but on south campus, there are several dining halls packed relatively close together, so you’re never far away from one if your dorm doesn’t have one.

Thanks sirsteveh, sainclaire and siemprecuriosa! :)
